In 2006, we decided to concentrate philanthropic resources on the city of El Monte, engage the entire community and commit to a long-term investment in sustainable social change. This 10-year, multimillion-dollar commitment helped improve the health, education and career opportunities of families and children in the area through diverse programs, from scholarship savings to youth fitness and healthy eating.
