Jim Skuldt

Artist’s Statement
I look at my practice as an opportunity to revisit collective stunted curiosities—to reconsider collective understandings of the world which have stalled at the pre-teen level—to channel grade-school misunderstandings through remedial art-therapeutic practices while confined to an adult brain. I like to look at the way things behave—as they shift, move or relate to one another—and the various means of cataloguing, describing or conflating these trajectories—all this, to reflect grossly inbred conceptions of the physical and translated realities that we construct and inhabit simultaneously.
