LA4LA is the first-of-its-kind government, philanthropy and private sector alliance formed to unlock affordable housing options in Los Angeles at scale and speed. Combining philanthropic and mission-based capital, LA4LA is working alongside Mayor Karen Bass to build an inclusive Los Angeles we can all be proud to call home.
LA4LA is taking a multi-faceted approach to focus on advancing a number of critical efforts including:
- Scaling the purchase and master leasing of affordable housing units.
- Unlocking rapid financing opportunities for stalled affordable housing developments.
- Identifying critical investment opportunities for new affordable housing developments.
- Lifting research and resources to examine, replicate and share best practices in affordable housing development.

LA4LA is component fund of CCF Community Initiatives Fund (CCF-CIF), a supporting organization of the California Community Foundation. Contributions to CCF-CIF represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation’s board of directors. Donors to LA4LA will receive a tax acknowledgement letter from CCF-CIF upon making a completed gift.
