Recent ICE raids have once again shaken our communities. The consequences can be devastating—tearing families apart and destabilizing neighborhoods. In Los Angeles County, more than two-thirds of individuals who appear in immigration court must face a judge and federal prosecutor without any legal representation. Shockingly, this includes children as young as three.
But legal representation makes a powerful difference. Studies show that immigrants with counsel are five times more likely to be released from detention than those without.
Through our LA Justice Fund, we are actively supporting immigrants targeted by ICE raids. We’re investing in frontline nonprofits that provide legal defense, emergency aid, and organizational support to ensure these vital services remain available and effective. Together, we’re standing up for the rights and dignity of every member of our community.
