The Palisades Recovery Coalition (PRC) is a community-led initiative guiding Pacific Palisades through post-wildfire recovery and long-term rebuilding. As a trusted hub for coordination, advocacy, and support, PRC has united residents, civic leaders, and partner organizations to shape a comprehensive recovery plan rooted in local values and forward-looking resilience. The Coalition actively interfaces with elected officials, consultants, and public agencies to advocate for durable solutions to foreseeable risks and to champion the establishment of a dedicated Palisades Rebuilding Authority. Through public forums, strategic partnerships, and collaborative planning, PRC leads efforts to ensure that Pacific Palisades rebuilds stronger, safer, and more resilient.
Palisades Recovery Coalition: Key Accomplishments
- Developed the Only Comprehensive Recovery Plan
Emerged as the sole entity to produce a community-centered, forward-looking recovery and resilience plan for Pacific Palisades following the 2025 wildfire disaster. - Secured an LAPD Stop-In Station
Successfully advocated for and secured a dedicated LAPD presence in the Palisades, improving public safety and building trust during the transition from checkpoints to patrol-based security. - Launched the “PRC Comeback Club”
Established an ongoing series of civic engagement events aimed at reviving community spirit, supporting local businesses, and creating visible momentum in the recovery process. - Hosted Ongoing Community Meetings
Convened both in-person and online town halls addressing issues such as brush clearance, infrastructure, rebuilding logistics, security, and post-fire trauma, ensuring transparency and accessibility. - Led Visioning Charrettes with RAND and VerdeXchange
Partnered with RAND Corporation and VerdeXchange to conduct neighborhood charrettes focused on rebuilding Pacific Palisades more resiliently, starting with the Marquez Knolls area. - Led Community Dialogue with the Blue Ribbon Commission
Served as the primary voice of Pacific Palisades in discussions with the County’s Blue Ribbon Commission, shaping fire resilience and recovery policy. - Launched and Facilitated the LAPD Community Advisory Group
Created and led a standing body to ensure real-time collaboration between LAPD, private security, and community stakeholders, directly informing the deployment and adaptation of public safety strategies. - Maintained Close Coordination with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
Provided ongoing community feedback and ensured clear communication during debris removal and re-entry phases, maintaining Palisades as a top priority within USACE operations. - Became the Trusted Source for Elected Officials and Agencies
Established the Coalition as the go-to resource for accurate, community-driven insight, relied upon by staff from federal, state, county, and city offices. - Maintained Strong Intergovernmental Advocacy
Held regular coordination with state and city leaders to secure vital support, including with the offices of:- U.S. Congressman Brad Sherman

Sustain momentum on the recovery efforts already underway—such as the PRC Comeback Club, community meetings, public safety partnerships, and neighborhood visioning charrettes—to ensure visible and continued progress. - Advocate for the Creation of a Palisades Rebuilding Authority
Champion the establishment of a dedicated, empowered local authority that can manage recovery logistics, coordinate resilient rebuilding, and streamline infrastructure improvements unique to Pacific Palisades. - Serve as the Lead Nonprofit Interface with Special Districts
Position PRC as the central community liaison to any newly formed Climate Resilience Districts, Fire Control Districts, or other special governing bodies, ensuring Palisadian voices are heard and respected. - Strengthen Our Role in the Community
Deepen engagement with residents, civic partners, and local institutions to expand PRC’s leadership capacity and reinforce its role as a trusted force for recovery, resilience, and renewal. - Build Upon the Trust We’ve Earned
