As CCF approaches its 110th year of operation, we are excited to announce the launch of a community-focused strategic framework process that will guide our grantmaking, advocacy, and investments for the next decade. Over the next several months, we will engage with communities across the county to develop this roadmap, grounded by our mission of creating a Los Angeles we can all be proud of.

Our strategic framework aligns our initiatives with the evolving needs, priorities, and aspirations of the communities we serve, particularly those most affected by systemic injustices. Inspired by Angela Glover Blackwell, PolicyLink’s Founder-in-Residence and renowned civil rights advocate, our goal is to foster a thriving multiracial democracy where every Angeleno has the opportunity to live a “good life.”

We Invite You To Be A Part of this Process:

To understand how everyday residents define a good life, we set up a comprehensive and inclusive process to gather input and feedback from diverse stakeholders. These include community members, grantees, donors, policymakers, philanthropic peers, CCF staff members, and our board. With the insights and experience this community can bring, we can ensure that our final vision is one that all Angelenos can see themselves reflected in.

Please take a moment to complete this survey and reflect on what it means to live a good life in Los Angeles County. Consider the role a community foundation like CCF can play in helping Angelenos achieve their shared vision for the future of Los Angeles. Your insights will directly shape how CCF allocates grantmaking and investments to better serve L.A. County residents.

Creating a Thriving, Inclusive Future for All Angelenos

Our strategic framework will align our initiatives with the evolving needs, priorities, and aspirations of the communities we serve, especially those most impacted by systemic injustices and challenges. At the heart of our mission is the desire to create a thriving multi-racial democracy and the conditions that allow every Angeleno to live a ” good life.”

Our goal is to have this framework in place by Summer 2025. CCF will continue to honor our existing grant agreements while developing this new strategic framework. If you have any specific questions, you can also email aroberts@calfund.org.

CCF is deeply committed to its partnership with community members across the County. We are dedicated to deepening those relationships and expanding connections through this process. Your trust and confidence in us are paramount, and we look forward to continuing to serve you.

We look forward to collaborating with our neighbors, partners, and allies as we embark on this critical journey and work together to build a more equitable and thriving Los Angeles.
