2021 Rising Star Honoree: Yishai Kabaker

Yishai Kabaker was born in Jerusalem, Israel. At a very young age he moved to Los Angeles and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. He graduated from Reseda High School and was heavily involved in his synagogue, Adat Ari El, and the non-profit, Operation Gratitude, during those years. He graduated from Stanford University with a BA in History. He returned to Los Angeles and began a career in business management with Capell Rudolph Business Management for three and a half years. For the past seven years, he has been a member of Gursey Schneider, LLP in the tax department. During that time, he developed from an associate to a senior manager. Yishai has an expertise in estate planning, trusts, and high net worth individual taxation. In his free time, Yishai loves spending time with his husband and two kids. The family loves exploring the local parks and hikes of Los Angeles, so long as Yishai and his husband promise to carry the kids when they get tired.

Poem

To commemorate our gratitude for their partnership each honoree advisor received a custom poem by Melrose Poetry Bureau. The poem highlights the reasons behind each individual’s dedication to charitable giving and captures the essence of what philanthropy means to them. In a time when in person interaction is limited, we wanted to celebrate our shared humanity and the commitment to making the world a better place for future generations.
