Arts open the mind, nourish the soul, and inspire the heart, so that we can create without limits.
Los Angeles is the creative capital of the United States and the incredible diversity of our voices is matched only by the boundless imagination of our artists. At CCF, we believe in the power of the arts to inspire change, to motivate hearts and to transform dreams into reality.
The State of California appropriates only $8 million for the entire state through the California Arts Council; and only 2 percent of all arts funding goes to individual artists. CCF has been supporting the arts in Los Angeles County for many decades to fill gaps in funding. Since 2000, CCF has granted more than $17 million to support arts education and vibrant small- to medium-sized community arts organizations in underserved areas. Additionally, through the CCF Fellowship for Visual Artists, we are one of the largest funders of individual artists in California.
We envision a future where the arts are available to everyone, integral to daily life in all our communities and a viable and sustainable career opportunity for artists of all kinds. By tapping into the enormous community of creativity, talent and vision here in Los Angeles, we seek to create a brighter future for all of us.
