sweetgreen Family Fund

As the saying goes, mama said there’ll be days like this. And on those days, we wanted to make sure everyone that needs help has somewhere to turn, and everyone that wants to help has a way to do it…that’s why we came up with the Family Fund. The Family Fund was created in 2017 so our sweetgreen family could help one another in times of need.

We are a family, and family comes first. To that end, every person in the sweetgreen family can elect to donate part of their paycheck to a pool of money that’ll be distributed to individuals who apply for funds that would help them cope with an emergency situation. Or, you can make a one-time donation here.

Together and with the help of our partner, California Community Foundation, your donations are tax-deductible, and the grants to staff members are distributed pre-tax!

With your continued support, we can truly make an impact in the lives of our sweetgreen family members who are experiencing an unexpected emergency or disaster.

Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation’s board of directors. This charge will appear on your credit card statement as a payment to “Calif Comm Fdn – CCF”. In addition, California Community Foundation incurs a third-party administrative fee of 2.7 percent for credit card contributions. The foundation will charge the fee directly to the individual fund.
