Friends of the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse

playhouse_logo_A

Located in the heart of the Mission District, the historic San Gabriel Mission Playhouse hosts classic film screenings and some of the best local music, dance, and theater productions since opening in 1927. The theater was originally constructed for John Steven McGroarty’s Mission Play, which told the story of Father Serra and the founding of the California Missions.

Join our restoration efforts and help us set the stage for everyone to enjoy performances at the Playhouse for the next 100 years!
