Glenn Kaino
Artist’s Statement
My work has been a journey, exploring and deconstructing mechanisms of power, representations and control while creating objects and interventions as part of a process of analysis, interpretation and interrogation.
In 2009 I embarked upon the journey of understanding and learning magic. My new work is a secret.
My life and practice is a network. I am but one part of a vital community of creators that contribute to a dialogic exchange that crosses culture, agenda and mission. My work engages people on several different scales, from intimate, personal exchanges, to mass-media broadcasts. I attempt to create experience for people around me, both in the creation and the consumption of my project.
