Jean Roth Driskel Scholarship
“This scholarship will lighten my financial burden and allow me to focus more on my goal of solving social issues through design. When I have established myself more professionally, I hope to give back to the architectural community as you have done for me.” Roxanna Bailey, Fall 2017, USC
Established in 1971 to honor the first woman Chapter President, the JRD scholarships are awarded annually to two students: one a Community College student and one a University student, in recognition of their dedication, enthusiasm, and ability in the field of architecture. In recent years, National AIA has contributed an additional scholarship to each of the recipients. Since 2001, the program has been ably administered by the JRD Scholarship Committee under the leadership of Ken Long, AIA. In that period, the committee has interviewed 304 candidates and awarded 38 scholarships. This program has contributed to AIA Pasadena-Foothill’s exceptional reputation for supporting emerging professionals. Your support is vital.
