Emergency Support for LA County’s Homeless Neighbors

Living on the street poses constant threats to the health and well-being of our most vulnerable homeless neighbors, especially during times of inclement weather, natural disasters, and other emergency situations. At the California Community Foundation (CCF), we believe that achieving lasting systemic change requires true collaboration. We are grateful for our partners at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA), the City, the County and philanthropic sector for their tireless work to add beds to the Winter Shelter Program and open early to support our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

As the cold and rainy season is just starting, CCF is proud to provide support to our partners delivering an immediate response to our region’s homelessness crisis. We hope you will join us by supporting the Home LA Fund or the Pass It Along Fund.

Gifts to the Home LA Fund will support organizations across the county providing beds, shelter, food, and other emergency assistance. We will also provide grants to innovative pilots that help bring people indoors and create safe places to sleep like the expansion of safe parking programs.

Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation’s board of directors. This charge will appear on your credit card statement as a payment to “Calif Comm Fdn – CCF”. In addition, California Community Foundation incurs a third-party administrative fee of 2.7 percent for credit card contributions. The foundation will charge the fee directly to the individual fund.
