“I want my legacy to help train young people to be future leaders in our country.”

My mother’s hard work as a single mother inspired me to pursue higher education despite financial obstacles. After earning a scholarship to UCLA, I worked as a high school principal and established the nation’s first computer lab in a public school. My legacy will challenge our city’s brightest high school students to aim even higher and pursue leadership opportunities.
