Merry Elkins

From my childhood memories of streetcars and orange groves to performing on the Dean Martin television show to my more than twenty years as a writer and advertising executive, my life as a native Angeleno has been thoroughly entwined with the culture and history of Los Angeles. My legacy will support the diverse causes in our city—children, animal welfare, environmental concerns and the arts.

The California Community Foundation partnered with StoryCorps to record the stories of our Centennial Legacy Society members. StoryCorps is a national nonprofit whose mission is to provide all people with the chance to record, preserve, and share the stories of our lives.
