Faced with discrimination against Asian Americans in schools, housing and employment, our parents persevered, creating lives of meaning through family stories and dedicated work in their communities. It is important to us to carry on family traditions by instilling a sense of justice in our own children and, with our own example of giving through a legacy gift at CCF, inspiring them to engage in philanthropy and community service.

The California Community Foundation partnered with StoryCorps to record the stories of our Centennial Legacy Society members. StoryCorps is a national nonprofit whose mission is to provide all people with the chance to record, preserve, and share the stories of our lives.
