I have always had a thirst for knowledge and adventure. My career in science and academia has taken me to all seven continents, from uncovering the geological history of Antarctica to consulting with USAID in Africa, but Los Angeles will always be home. It’s where I met and fell in love with Celeste. And it’s why my legacy will support education and foster greater understanding amongst Los Angeles’ diverse communities.

The California Community Foundation partnered with StoryCorps to record the stories of our Centennial Legacy Society members. StoryCorps is a national nonprofit whose mission is to provide all people with the chance to record, preserve, and share the stories of our lives.
