Joe Lumarda

My parents, the Navy and the seminary taught me that life is about service, compassion and discipline. As a father, I’ve tried to instill these values in my own sons. My hope is that they’ll continue our family’s legacy of providing college scholarships to disadvantaged youth.

The California Community Foundation partnered with StoryCorps to record the stories of our Centennial Legacy Society members. StoryCorps is a national nonprofit whose mission is to provide all people with the chance to record, preserve, and share the stories of our lives.
