Investing in L.A. Entrepreneurs

On October 14, CCF donors, advisors and friends gathered to hear how Nobel prize-winning economist Muhammud Yunus is transforming lives and communities throughout Los Angeles County through Grameen America Los Angeles. Launched in 2012 with help from CCF and committed donors, this groundbreaking microfinance organization has made nearly $62 million in loans to low-income women entrepreneurs in Los Ageles. By combining microloans with financial education and peer support, Grameen America has helped its members open more than 1,500 businesses and create 10,500 jobs, all with an astounding 99% repayment rate.
