Cal Poly Black Student Scholarship Fund

Cal Poly has prioritized the recruitment and retention of a more diverse student body. One of the most effective ways to achieve this goal is to offer scholarships to specific student groups. This scholarship fund was established by an anonymous donor and is open to any other donors at any gift level who would also like to support Black students attending Cal Poly.

In 1996, the California Constitution set limitations on how state universities can support students based on ethnicity, race, etc. (The initiative is commonly referred to as Proposition 209.) The California Community Foundation (CCF) is not affiliated with Cal Poly, but does provide scholarships to deserving Cal Poly students as directed by donors.
