
Daniel Chae
Program Manager, Strategic Partnerships
Daniel Chae supports a variety of strategic priorities for the California Community Foundation, including time-bound initiatives (i.e., Arts Recovery, Food Security) and public-private partnerships (i.e., LA n Sync, Nonprofit Sustainability Initiative, and Digital Divide).
Prior to CCF, Chae served as senior analyst at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority to support the LA CoC Board and its oversight of the largest HUD CoC Program in the country. He has helped implement the Washtenaw Coordinated Funders initiative in Michigan, has served as an appointed member of the Continuum of Care Board in Oklahoma City, and founded the Oklahoma chapter of the Awesome Foundation. Chae has created and opened several social enterprises that provided job opportunities for the hard to employ.
Chae earned his Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Michigan. He is an alumnus of the AmeriCorps VISTA program, having served as staff lead for the Michigan Prisoner Reentry Initiative employment program for parolees.
