Cecilia Martinez

Payroll HR Specialist

Cecilia Martinez serves as the Payroll – HR Specialist for the California Community Foundation. She is responsible for a variety of Human Resources support functions focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement. Martinez serves as a liaison between staff members and management.

Prior to joining California Community Foundation, Martinez worked with the National Health Foundation as a People and Culture Generalist. She served on the National Health Foundation’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Council for the purpose of building an anti-discriminatory work space and supporting staff in feeling a sense of workplace belonging. Martinez has also worked with Technicolor Creative Studios where she served as a Human Resources Advisor for their Advertising, Film, and Animation business units during projects such as Nope and Dune. A self-proclaimed ‘People Person’, she is passionate about employee engagement, organizational culture, and the employee life-cycle.

Martinez holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She was born and raised in Northeast Los Angeles.
