Keyboarding and Computer Applications Service Pack 1

Introduction

To run this update you must have the network version of Prentice Hall Keyboarding Client Application or Prentice Hall Keyboarding Server Application already installed on your system.

This service pack will update both the Server and Client installations.

Installation Guide

Before running the update please shut down any running instance of the PH Keyboarding Application on your system.

  1. Click the PHK_SP1 executable file (PHK_SP1.exe for Windows; PHK.SP1 for Macintosh) to begin the update process.
  2. Select the type of installation you want to update
    • PH Keyboarding Client
    • PH Keyboarding Server
  3. Select the folder where the application is already installed on your system.
  4. Click Next to start the update.
  5. Click Finish to exit the update installer.

Updates

This service pack will apply the following updates:

All Platforms

  • Resolves issues limiting number of clients who can log on. The software now allows up to 80 clients to log onto the server.
  • Resolves issues faced when creating a report for All Students in the admin module.
  • Resolves the error generated when users attempt to cut text in Practice Area

Mac OSX 10.2 or higher

  • Resolves issue of client/server compatibility. Prentice Hall Keyboarding Client Applications will be able to connect to a Keyboarding Server running on Mac OSX 10.2 or higher.
