Iraq Afghanistan Deployment Impact Fund Grants

The following is a list of grants that have been made from the fund to aid military personnel of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) in Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Programs are nationwide and support is for one year unless indicated otherwise in the grant purpose.

1.) Two-year support and $1 million to expand programs and services that empower OEF and OIF veterans to effectively speak out and use the media to document their wartime experiences and advocate for policies that improve the well-being of combat troops, and to help one another transition successfully to civilian life. and three-year support.

2.) Support and $3,222,967 for IAVA’s sponsorship of the IADIF-funded Ad Council campaign to raise awareness about the impact of the war on the troops, their families and their communities; and to provide partial general operating support to IAVA to ensure that it remains a viable operation throughout the three-year effort.
