Through their creative endeavors, these artists help build social capital, bridge cultural barriers and celebrate Los Angeles County's rich diversity .

The community foundation would also like to recognize the efforts of the panelists who had the arduous task of reviewing numerous applications and an even more difficult and challenging task of selecting the eight Mid-Career and three Emerging Artist Fellows.

Panelists for the 2007 Fellowships for Visual Artists:

Leo Garcia, Artistic Director at Highways Performance Space
Clara Kim, Associate Curator at the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater (REDCAT)
Thomas Solomon, Owner and President of Thomas Solomon Gallery
Carol Stakenas, Executive Director of Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE)
