Completed in 2016, CCF’s El Monte Community Building Initiative was a decade-long, multimillion dollar investment in creating sustainable, community-driven change in the city of El Monte. Focused on building and boosting community leadership, the initiative helped residents and families identify and implement their own solutions to key local issues, such as increasing parental involvement in public school education, ensuring college access for students, creating safe recreational spaces for children and families and building the resident and nonprofit capacity of the community.
