Los Angeles Preschool Advocacy Initiative
The Los Angeles Preschool Advocacy Initiative (LAPAI) is civic engagement's multi-year effort to help underserved communities gain access to quality early care and preschool education. This initiative was launched in 2007 in partnership with The David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
The LAPAI Coalition brings together parents, providers, advocates, policymakers and other early care and preschool education stakeholders. LAPAI also funds nonprofit organizations to help parents and policymakers advocate for better early care and preschool programs in their own communities.
