Press Event & Reception Announcing Historic Gift from Joan Palevsky

On Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, the California Community Foundation announced that the late philanthropist Joan Palevsky left a bequest of more than $200 million —- the single largest gift the foundation has received since it was established in 1915. The foundation has since created the Joan Palevsky Endowment for the Future of Los Angeles to continue supporting the causes that Palevsky held dear.
