ccf's work in los angeles

As the needs of Los Angeles County have evolved, CCF has kept pace and created solutions to meet them. Our understanding of local issues and people is unmatched by other philanthropic partners. This unique perspective has enabled us to identify and support a range of local needs through CCF priorities, which include the following:

artsARTS
We focus on supporting individual artists and increasing participation in the arts among underserved communities.

health careHEALTH CARE
We focus on ensuring that community clinics can serve as a system of care for the underserved and uninsured, increasing access to a regular source of preventive care and treatment services for uninsured adults and expanding health care coverage for all uninsured children.

civic engagementCIVIC ENGAGEMENT
Realizing that grants are not enough to address complex regional challenges, we are involved in civic engagement through partnerships that enable Angelenos to find effective solutions to important issues ranging from immigrant integration to quality preschool.

human developmentHUMAN DEVELOPMENT
We prioritize increasing opportunities that promote self-sufficiency, independent living and community participation for vulnerable individuals such as older adults and youth who are transitioning out of foster care.
educationEDUCATION
We prioritize increasing school readiness for kindergarten among underserved children, engaging parents, increasing K–5 student performance and reducing the achievement gap among population groups.
neighborhood revitalizationNEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION
We focus on providing a stable living environment for low-income families and people by increasing the supply of affordable housing (and access to it) in Los Angeles County.
