John R. Wooden Scholarship Fund
During the 27 years John R. Wooden coached the UCLA men's basketball
team, he brought them to 19 conference championships and 10
NCAA championships. But his winning record is only part of the
story.
Wooden's real passion is his dedication as a teacher and educator.
Applied Materials established the John R. Wooden Scholarship
Fund to provide scholarship support to universities identified
through the John R. Wooden Scholarship Program. Since 2002, more than $400,000 in scholarships has enabled students endowed with the qualities
of leadership and dedication to pursue their educational goals. These students attend the Universities of Kansas, Maryland,
Texas, Cincinnati, Gonzaga University, Duke University, Oklahoma
University, Marquette University and Xavier University, to name a few.
