Warren Christopher Scholarship Fund

The Warren Christopher Scholarship Fund was established at the California Community Foundation with a $1.5 million gift by O'Melveny & Myers to honor Christopher, its former chairman, when he was appointed U.S. Secretary of State. Mr. Christopher is an alumnus of Hollywood High School.

The Fund provides scholarships toward four years of college tuition to 10 outstanding LAUSD high school sophomores every year, encouraging the promising but financially needy recipients to finish school and pursue a college education.

Since the first scholarship was awarded eight years ago, not one of the Christopher Scholars has dropped out of high school or college.

Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.
