The Law Faculty Scholarship For Underrepresented Racial Minorities
This scholarship fund was established by members of the UCLA School
of Law faculty to demonstrate their commitment to maintaining
the law school's historic role as a leader in diversifying the
bar. A small committee of distinguished UCLA law school alumni
with a commitment to enrolling talented underrepresented racial
minority students selects recipients from among eligible applicants
who have been admitted into UCLA's law school. Scholarship recipients
must enroll in the UCLA School of Law and be a member in good
standing of the entering class.
One scholarship recipient says:
"I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere
gratitude for selecting me to receive a (scholarship). As the
first in my family to attend college and to pursue a legal education,
being awarded this scholarship is very motivating. This scholarship
has released a lot of anxiety related to the cost of my legal
education... I commend you for your dedication in helping students
like myself achieve our educational goals."
And another writes:
"I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the
law faculty scholarship for underrepresented racial minorities
that I received from you. The monetary award has been extremely
helpful in helping me to meet my educational expenses this semester.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity."
